Sad indeed. They said in 1 article that the wind was blowing had and blew embers from the pit and combustibles near by caught fire. So I guess this can be related to the hurricane.

Yes, it was related.  In Austin, they received over 80 mph winds overnight during landfall, starting it at 5:30 am Saturday morning.
