Finally stopped looking

I have been using this website for years but never signed up. I bit the bullet today. I absolutely love the fact that people on here are so willing to help. I live in western Iowa, there are a few people around here that know what smoking is really about. Most people that i know would say that Famous Daves is the best around. I'm not going to put them down, but I feel that my cooking is better. I have just started doing competitions, but for fun, I really just enjoy cooking. Thank you for a great website, and for all the great members.

thanks for the warm welcome. A friend of mine and I competed in a BBQ competition over the weekend. We took 2nd in brisket, and 7th over all. What a great time. We learned a few tricks and tips. The BBQ society online and in person is a great community, I hope one day to help someone as many have helped me over the years.

You can help a lot of people just by posting your experience on this forum. Before I found this place I really didn't know anything but from the advice I've gotten here and putting it to my smoker I feel like I've come a long way and it's all because of the great people here sharing what they know!
