Hey its a long while since a lengthy post but life is keeping me pretty busy. Extended snowbird trip to Arizona, Grand Canyon, 40th anniversary, gonna be a 1st time granddad! Life is good!
Decided to buy some Jealous Devil Max charcoal. Price not too bad at 45 cents a pound. Large hardwood briquettes that do burn hotter n hell!. They light fast and last a long while. I have not used them for a smoke on the Weber, PK or Pit barrel Jr yet.
I've cooked some burgers, dogs, lamb & steak on the little PK Go. No more re-adding fresh charcoal for that final Sear and longer cooks. Big enough to extinguish and re-light.
All south American hardwoods, made in Paraguay.
from me! I'll continue to use the cheap Kingsford to light my wood fires. But I'll be using the Devil for the foreseeable future!

Here is my extinguished coals on the PK Go. I made 6 brats 6 big dogs and 6 burger patties Sear and smoke a bit. Then shut down air inlets. Great demonstration of how well this little PK Go seals & smokes.
