Have had a heck of time getting my Char-Griller up to temp with the side fire box.
This time, instead of going with charcoal and wood chunks, I started with charcoal and then added split logs. Made all the difference. Also found the stock temp gauge is way off so that will be replaced in short order.
Found a guy who sells firewood. Hand-picked a pile of ash and some nice cherry. He even split it for me and charged me just $10. Definitely going back.
Couple of pork shoulders and some ABTs were a hit with our dinner guests.
ABTs going on. Stuck my digital probe through a chunk of potato to give me a more accurate temp reading.
