Finally back home.

Well guys, i just got home yesterday from a 10 day work road trip. Have a smoke planned for Sunday. Nothing out of the ordinary - pork butt, a chuck or two and whatever else i think to throw on. Was going to do a brisket too but went to the store and thye are all out arrrrrggghhhh !!!!! That's when i saw the chuck for $2.50lb. That'll work instead of brisket.

Can't wait to try out the latest mod to the cgsp that i finished the afternoon before i left.

I did have a work issued laptop which wouldn't work for the first week. Finally got it working so when we had a hotel with working wireless i was checking in here every so often.

The way the weather is here i may have to wheel the smoker into the garage but @*%$ it i'm going to smoke something

I was hoping to go mushroom hunting this weekend, but I think the weather is gonna keep the morels at bay for a few more days...

Was down in Alabama and Tennessee, 75 to 85 degrees sunny and DRY. I even came back with sunburnt arms, face and neck

Then last night we were 7 miles from several possible tornados ....... gotta love Iowa
