Pat in LA--nicely done. I like the pan separated from the floor. It will act like the heat shield on a car's catalytic converter so you don't lose as much heat out the bottom.
The pan's top side looks a little dull/dirty however. You might want to periodically line that with aluminum foil (shiny side up) to reflect up (to your meat) the radiant IR of the burner element.
