Picked up a jar of fig preserves and decided to make some sauce with it. Chipotle sounded like a good way to go so I took an old recipe from another sauce I did and just subbed in the figs and adobo chipotles and minor tweaks. Came out quite nice, sticky and not too sweet with just a touch of heat. Next go round I'm going to up the chipotle content as I like sweet heat.

like I said, I'd keep ya posted. With a little more heat the recipe is a keeper. Used the pickapeppa hot mango as a binder. Man I love that stuff. Used a mix of blues hog original and killer hogs. About an hour at high smoke which is 220 I think, the run it up to 265 till they're done. Sauced them up for about the last 30 minutes.
Same farm stand has killer pies, so dessert was that and some vanilla bean Ice cream.
What sucks is the farm stand shuts down right before Thanksgiving, so I go on a forced pie diet until spring hits.
Thanks for looking and happy Monday!
