Felling more like fall. Time for chili.

In the Seattle school system, back in the 60's, Wednesday was always Chili Day, and it was always served with a cinnamon roll. That was back when the school kitchens actually cooked real food themselves. Man, I miss those lunches. Thursday was creamed turkey over mashed potatoes, served with a maple bar!

Same here. In school, chili was always served with a cinnamon roll.

Ok, I gotta follow suit. I’m gonna make chili tomorrow. Looks good.

I’ve never tried a cinnamon roll with chili. Might have to try that tomorrow.

Well, no cinnamon roll today, but here’s a pic.

Been simmering all day in the crockpot. Finally get to taste it after smelling it all day.

The beer is my Oktoberfest. The malty sweetness balances out the heat of the chili. Not that I made this one very hot, my girlfriend is eating this too.

About 50 degrees here today, windy, and rainy... chili is on for supper!
Think us northerners are cinnamon roll people and those farther south are cornbread. I prefer Saltines and a slice or two of fresh bread!
