Had a little bite in the air this morning, leaves are flying and football on the TV. Supposed to hit around 38⁰ tonight. There's only one thing left to do... make some chili. Finished up with church, and let it simmer for the day. It really hit the spot.

YEYYYYYYY... Summer has finally broke (temporarily) down to the mid 60's... I've been waiting all summer (hot) for this... Only one more hot one to go before I throw in the towel...

Nice. Not chili weather, yet. I made my fall Minestrone soup to have a hot meal in the tractor.
Still waiting for fall to stay here. It gets cold then it gets warm.
My trees are just dropping leaves except for the 1 maple that starts early and is mostly bare.

Yup, comfort food in Colorado. Soon I’ll be making pork green Chile stew, posole, and carne adovada. Love fall here.
Pasole will be happening soon
I love soup and chili season too! That bowl looks hearty
Thanks Jeff

Chili looks great as do the trees. Still in the 70s to around 80℉ here, but calling for a low of 54℉ Thursday and Friday...
Thanks Charles
The chili looks good!

And a cinnamon roll? What the what?
Thanks Justin. I used to think everyone did cinnamon rolls with chili. But its a must try in my opinion 👍

Thanks Bill. That German Goulash Soup sounds great.

Yup getting that time. We usually see first snow end of October, just rain and 50-60’s here so far.

In the Seattle school system, back in the 60's, Wednesday was always Chili Day, and it was always served with a cinnamon roll. That was back when the school kitchens actually cooked real food themselves. Man, I miss those lunches. Thursday was creamed turkey over mashed potatoes, served with a maple bar!
