OK so I am building a website for my bbq team and I would like some feedback.  Granted it is not 100% finished but it is a start let me know what you think.

Yes so far so good. Lot of real estate not being used. I'd give adchix a call and

see if they can round it out. Not sure if I'd use the UDS pic on the home page.

If someone lands on your page and doesn't recognize what it is, they'll fly.

Maybe use some of the real estate to showcase awards, territories you service,

services you provide.... at a glance. Surfers are a strange breed, they bolt quickly

and for no clear reason. Do everything you can to make the visitor stay put

longer than a few seconds....just my opinion...James

Looks good to me and I've worked in interactive communications for 15 years. I think it does what you want it to do and while you're not using all the real estate as efficiently as you could, it's not like you're designing a new site either.

The only suggestion I have is to run your photos through an optimization routine. Some of them are a little low on contrast or have desaturated colors. If you're using Photoshop, that would be "Adjust Image --> Optimize Levels" or something like that. You can do it manually but Photoshop's algorithm is not too shabby.
