Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there and to those of you who are all grilling and smoking today, Best of luck and I hope all of your creations turn out well. Enjoy and make some good memories....

Back at you Buddy!

I was going to smoke some ribs, but the weather isn't cooperating.

Gonna do a couple of filet mignons instead.

Sorry for the last Happy Father's Day to you. AB. Yep, I was one of the grillin' dads yesterday who had a ball setting the food out on dinner table for my family. Hope your day was just as fun and filled with love.

I went surf and turf for the second time on a Father's day. Bone-in ribeye steaks. half-pound lobster tails, asparagus spears, I grilled them all on my 22.5" Weber OTS. I used my sample pack of Weber's charcoal briquettes for the entire thing, and now I'm sold on that charcoal. I usually use Kingsford Competition (now called Professional) charcoal briquettes but they burn down quickly and I would have had to add more briquettes before I put on the lobster tails. With the Weber briquettes, not only did one batch of charcoal cook all three dishes but I had pleny of large, hot charcoal left over if I had wanted to grill bananas foster or something for dessert.

That sounds like a great dinner daRicksta. I have not tried that charcoal yet, Hard to find that here But I will look for the future.

Thanks, AB. If you celebrate Father's Day, I hope you enjoyed yours as well.

Looks like the only place around me that carries it that I know of (so far) is Home Depot. I usually buy the Kingsford 2-pack at Costco but this charcoal burns just as hot and outlasts the Kingsford. It's not cheap but it comes out cheaper in the long run buy having to replenish it less often during grilling. I can only imagine how well it does in the Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker and others that burn charcoal.
