We been really busy with the farmers market making breads, cookies. Not much time for sausage making (and I have family asking for stix)>>>>>>soon.
Friend made us a logo. Said with your background this is all you.
The folks here are not much into fancy packaging so we keep it simple.
In KY all home made items have to be labeled with ingredients and where baked as well as any allergen warning.
From Sundays mkt. We sell out in 4 hrs.
My wifes baked items. The no flour pnutbutter cookies sell fast.
I tell her to ditch the green paper and go with the small chalk board signs.
(she hard headed amish lady....lol)
We also got an invite to do the Tractor supply farmers mkt on Saturdays, My friend asked me if I can have enough breads for both days? Ummmm maybe.
The farmers mkt last day is end of October for the season. I have customers asking if I will take orders so I have been and they are more than happy to come to the house to pick up breads/cookies.
So my project I'm working on now (time allowing)
Is a farm stand. This way I can sell most of the cold months.
Local laws just say I have to be at least 20' from the road and being we are still rural I need no special permits. Yay
We have power right by the driveway so I will build in a space for a small fridge to keep the baked goods wife makes cool.
Here are a few pics im thinking about
(not my pics)
I'm thinking on wheels so I can put in garage when its freezing or snowy out.
So like Paul Harvey used to say
"Now you know the rest of the story". Lol
