Fall in the air

Definitely a touch of fall in the air.

Thinking cooler weather meals.

Well, have some thick cut bone-in porkchops and a chicken in brine.

Tonight will have browned chops on a bed of sauerkraut and caraway, covered with stuffing and baked.

Tomorrow roast chicken and salt potatoes.

Wore a sweatshirt to the coffee shop at dawn this morning for the first time in 5 months. It'll be 105F here today though. Swamp cooler holding steady. Cheap comfort.

Not quite ready for fall here just yet but it's nice to have temps in the low 80s instead of the 90s with high humidity.
A breath of fresh air.
I can get the offset and Santa Maria going again.
We did make a pot of chili a few days ago......

What I wouldn’t give for a touch of fall. Still 104 here today

That didn’t stop me from smoking a pork butt though. Just probed nice and tender at 201. It’s just about time for the long rest.
