Ever see a little tiny smoker called a "Smoking Gun"?

I was standing in a kitchenware store in a local mall, and a guy was selling this item to two women. They bought one each at $100. Looks like a fun toy, and I could think of some things to use it on, but, geez. More money than brains, maybe.

Would it give enough smoke for a real smokey flavor, or is it just for aroma?

The man was suggesting you could smoke already cooked shrimp for an appetizer, of a cooked steak during it's resting time. You wouldn't get that rich smoked taste from long term smoking, but it would maybe be more like a smoke seasoning sort of thing. Local chocolatier is supposedly using cherry to smoke dark handmade chocolate. It really is cold smoke. So maybe fresh, creamy cheeses? Probably cool to play with.

Dunno, it's still an expensive toy, and being a girl, I'd rather spend the money on shoes...or, er, glass slippers.

I think he got the idea from sitting around with his POT BONG,,,, had the munchies from something smoked and came up with that little thing.. 24.95  for a 4 ounces refill bottle??? he might have just finished smoking his BONG !!!!!  lol

Bet you could use some of Todd's Amazin Dust in that thing.  Hey Todd, sounds like a price hike would be appropriate.  You could jack the price to $12 for 16 oz and they'd still have a bargain, and you have more flavors..... 

$100 is 1/4 of the way to a WSM.......
