I got introduced to a new cataloge store yesterday, well , new to me anyway. the wife and I drove up to Ottawa to see our granddaughter yesterday, it was my birthday and I took the day off so we could do the day trip and I could still be home on Sunday to do my cornedbeef and watch the Nascar.

anyway, while we were there I wanted to check out this store called "Lee Valley", they don't have any of these stores here in Quebec, so I had no clue what I was getting into, all I knew was they sold wood working tools and such by cateloge, WELL.................... I was a kid in a candy store, I got outa there with spending only 200$ but if I could of spared it I would have been able to spend 1000$ just on chisels alone. I'm in love :-)

check this place out, you can order the cateloges free online and they send them real fast I got mine in less then a week, then since I was going to Ottawa anyway I figured I check it out in person, but now that I have seen the store I'll be going back everytime I visit the baby :-)

gunna need to take out a personal loan lol

Dang it... Sorry Don Happy Belated...

Never heard O that place, but then again the best thing for me to do with wood is burn it in small batches heh. I only claim an eighth inch accuracy LOL!

Good info. Lots of great stuff they got, but, looks like its a Canadian company. The way the US$ is now, not too economical for us "Southerners".

They have a lot of cool things, including culinary items. I used to make a regular stop anytime I went to Calgary or Edmonton. The only issues I have with them is they are not open Sundays and their sales items are usually sold out before I got their flyers.

I have been ordering from lee valley for years. Good quality products. I also order alot of my hardware from them...hinges lid supports and so forth. A bit on the pricey side but well worth it!!!

Another couple of woodworking favorites are:

www.rockler.com
www.mcfeelys.com

I use mcfeelys fasteners on everything I build. Cant beat square drive.
