If you skirted the open area between the two tanks with some 1/8 plate, It would be even more efficient. And then you would need to buy the cradels or the flue for inbetween the drums,
I hadnt thought of the space between the barrels as working as a baffle. I just threw together a quick drawing of what I was proposing, but this does have the reverse flow plate on it.
I picked up the US Stove kit, top and bottom today from the local hardware store. Figure I could do it cheaper, but this will save me alot of hassle. I had a curious thought while looking at the kit. Is there any danger from using galvanized hardware inside of this thing? I was going to purchase stainless steel out of habit but I am not sure if its actually necessary.
