A lot of folks come by asking about drums. I thought opening this thread might be helpful, and I'm curious myself.

What I'm wondering is about unlined drums. What kind of liquids are shipped in unlined drums that are also not a health risk? And what type of business might have some? Because of where we live, burning out liners is not possible for all of us.

Steve if your coming up to the gathering bring a drum or two we can burn them out up here. I'll have the weed burner hooked up.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm not building an UDS. I was just curious.

The gathering sounds like fun. I missed the last one, Mrs. Bigsteve and I were on a cruise. This time I might be able to make it, but it's dicey. We have a big project going through the end of October at work. This means a lot of weekend work out of state for me. I wouldn't know until a few days before if I can make it or not. But, you never know.

Hi Ron,
I've had a few weekends off before we gear back up for the second half of our project. I have some things that really-really need to get done around here, but we've had friends and family popping in every weekend lately. They all live out of state, and I haven't seen some of them for 15 years! I'm going to have to take stock of what needs to be done, when the project is over in November. I may need to hire help to get things back under control.

Meanwhile, I've been mixing it up on the weekends. Some smokes, some grillin, and some rotissorie. Tomorrow is grilled London Broil.

What's new with you?

Hey Steve,

Man you sound ultra busy! Glad your alive and kicken out there. So work is really sending out and about lately eh?
Cool on the weekend food! Gotta eat good no matter what eh?

I've been pretty busy most the time with my business. Last week was super slow but most weeks I'm pretty busy. This week we just did was super busy. Still have a buttload to do left over from it. Hopefully next week will be busy too. I like to eat and need money for that :)

Hey Ron, are you still around? I was out of beef rub, so I picked up some Montral steak rub by McCormicks'.

Holy cow, that stuff is great! I've been very-very happy over the years with how my grilled London broil turns out. Man, this stuff made it better still!

Cool, I think we have some in the cupboard, is it kind of spicey with big chunks and little spice ball things?
