I just brought home 3 drums from work.

The drums had little lead additive bars wrapped in paper and plastic and then they were wrapped in a plastic baggy inside of a large plastic bag.

Should I bail on these drums or do a burn?

Another question is how do you start a fire in it.

Thanks RP

Lead is a nasty thing, I would find a food grade drum or one that held oil, both can be easily burned out. Good luck.

Lead wrapped in paper, then plastic, then plastic, then another plastic bag??

I'd say you have nothing to worry about. Certainly safer than one that held petroleum.

If it is bare metal inside, no need to burn.  Wire wheel any rust spots, if there are any, and get to building.
