Just wondering what’s oozing out of my oak? Smells like pine sap but this is oak I’ve been drying for over 3 yrs now?

I know you are positive it’s oak, but it sure looks like pine sap to me too. I would be on here asking the same question. I bet someone will have an answer soon. Looking forward to seeing what it is. I burn a lot of oak here & have never seen that before.

If it is just that one piece, and no other pieces of wood from that same tree have that sap.....and it smells like pine sap....I'd just pull that piece and not burn it for smoke wood. It probably is pine that got mixed in with your oak somehow......

Agree with @indaswamp looks like two different splits of wood. I'd put the one off to the side and run with the other woods.
