Don’t see them to often but it’s like a special gift when you do.

Son bought dozen several years ago that were advertised as double, forgot which store he got them from

Ranks right up there with getting ducks eggs.
Our supplier back north had a hen last year that always laid doubles and even got a few triples.

A friend of mine brought me 2 dozen eggs a few weeks ago, I asked him if he ever gets double yolkers, he says his sister got the first from his hens a few weeks ago. The next morning I crack open four of the eggs he gave me, and there were two double yolkers. He went nuts, LOL he said he still hasn't gotten one.

I used to get them all the time back when I lived with a girlfriend on her ranch, she had at least 20 hens. Her daughter would load up a little red wagon and sell them to people driving by, for, get this $0.75 a dozen $1.25 for two dozen, although most people would give her $5.00 and tell her to keep the change. She was a cute little thing at 7yrs old, her and her friends used to get all doll'd up in their cut off overalls and straw hats before they would walk down to sell the eggs and lemonade, she is now 45yrs old, married with kids of her own.:emoji_laughing:
