It has been proven that nutmeg when ingested in large amounts can cause hallucinations .

You may be overly sensitive to some herb or spice and it could be causing  problems.

Now I have never heard of spices causing nightmares. Now I have had some night things but most folks call it heartburn. Now sometimes my heartburn treats me like a nightmare and I really don't like to sleep sitting up either.

Reents Welcome aboard. As you can tell something aint right about some of these folks. May be too much Smoke and Herb if you know what I mean. Anyway "UP IN SMOKE" from Texas and welcome to the FAMILY

My memorable dreams revolve around leaving the smoker or grill unattended and the house catching on fire. Many are the times I have jumped out of bed and rushed downstairs only to realize I am not cooking anything.

I have not had any nightmares since I was a kid, but sometimes dream strange things.

The biggest thing that happens to me a lot lately is waking up every hour, on the hour and not being able to go back to sleep. Then when its time to get up I am so tired.

I started thinking about the food I ate on these nights and really I think it is garlic that keeps me awake. I love garlic, the smell, the taste and all,  me and the wife use it a lot.

Last night we had ravioli, (wife made the sauce with garlic in it) and garlic cheese bread. Guess what I was awake all night, had alarm set for 6:00, but was awake all night and at 5:30 I was laying there looking at the clock hating the thought of getting up!

LMAO welcome to your addiction. Yes I too have dreams after consuming smoky goodness. I contributed it to the amount of the smoky goodness I consume, or it may be the amount of adult beverage I consumed smoking it.
