Had some time at home with the family this weekend finally so it was time to smoke. I decided to give pickling and smoked beans a try as well. The store had a good selection of Dino Ribs that caught my eye and after some recent Dino Rib posts from other members (thx
tx smoker
) I decided that was the way to go.
Seasoned and ready to go
All done, the spread. First time doing smoked beans (thanks to whichever SMF member who posted the link for these recently) and first batch of homemade pickles. Also heated up a batch of garlic pepper pork sausage I had in the freezer that I had made last month.
The ribs turned out super juicy and I was really happy with the bark.
The plate. I had done so many dishes that I had cleaned all day that I decided fine China was appropriate for dinner lol. All in all it was a really good meal and the family was happy. The pickles and beans were both excellent and I will be doing both again in the future.
And a little banana pudding for dessert courtesy of my lovely wife. Yum
