Just bought a Masterbuilt Pro dual fuel smoker and am picking up some modifications for it. I want a digital thermometer but I don't want to break the bank as I know they can be pretty pricey. I was thinking about spending around $40 or so. Any suggestions?

I'm sure by now you've purchased a thermometer but I've been very happy with Maverick thermometers.  I own the redi-chek et-73 and love it.  Used it tons.  Check it out online, I got mine on Amazon.  Happy smoken!

I know this is an old post, but hoping you guys can help me out. What kind of probes are on the Maverick? I like the ability of monitoring temps from my living room, but concerned with the quality of probes.

I have a dual meter from Thermoworks which has some quality thermocouples but I have to be at the smoker to check the temps. I have a good chunk invested in this but love remote capability of the Maverick.
