Thought that I would try my l luck at building a gravity-fed reverse flow after helping a buddy build a stumps clone.. Had lot of companion flanges laying around the shop and went with it.

Rolled 16g black iron to form CC add 3\16 RF and a pitched grease trap. CC is 23 dia,x 30 long.. Chimney is short after checking calculator . Will change by finding a creative way to add length.

Looks like it is coming along. Can't wait to see how you finish it.

Are you doing 2 seperate builds at the same time?
I'm a little confused with how similar boths build threads look but are showing different progress.

Nope same build.. Wanted to add more details and thought it'd be easier to start over with new thread.. Not sure how to delete first one... Sorry

Yes, more or less. Charcoal should burn slowly in the vertical chamber.. The small coals will fall thru a grate at bottom of cylinder into a pan of wood chips,, heat and smoke transfer to CC where the magic happens.. The ball valve is the only air inlet into fb.. Makes a good hook up for a Guru.. It's either going to work or be a big boat anchor.
