Definitive ECB Mods?

I have been looking at LOTS of sites, and everyone has their own mods or their own way of doing the mods. I am a bit confused as to the best route to take. So,

Is there a definitive (read generally agreed upon to be the best) place to find the mods for my ECB?

That was kind of my question. I have done the searches and all that, but it seems like everyone has their own mods and ways of doing it. I am asking if there is ONE place where I can find the basics for the mods. ONE place that everyone generally agrees is the best place to start - an ECB mods 101, if you will.
