Its been too long since I had a neck roast. I just bone them and grind it. Half a century or so ago, my buddy's mother would cook a neck roast for our group. Usually happened the first weekend after deer closed. 4 or 6 of us would go rabbit hunting for the day. June would throw the roast in her old blue turkey roaster smothered in BBQ sauce and low and slow roasted for 5 or 6 hours. That was well over 50 years ago, but I can close my eyes and smell that cooking. After a day of chasing bunnies in the snow, it was Heaven.
