I got one of those butterball indoor electric turkey fryers last year. I normally cook 2 birds on thanksgiving, so I did 1 in my smoker, the other in the deep fryer.

I just followed the instructions in the manual, no brine, nothing fancy. It turned out okay, and in only like 45 minutes!

I'm thinking about doing a "dry brine" on the one I'm going to deep fry this year. Is that advisable, or will I end up burning the house down?

Any good recipes or techniques for a deep fried turkey?

I will be brining it tho...
