Daytona 500

The Daytona 500 was a great race other than the pot hole problem but at least they finished it ( the race ) . Really enjoyed it .

My hat's off to Jamie McMurray on his first Daytona 500 win! Great to see a 'local' boy beat Dale Jr!

I don't know, Trip. I realize that stuff happens but man, almost 2 1/2 hours of delay to fix a pot hole. I read this morning they finally resorted to bondo.

I can't help but think the results would have been very different had they finished with a warmer track. Many drivers were having grip problems but as the sun set and track cooled, many found new life with better grip and increased speeds.

It was a great finish though. Bet Bass Pro Shops is all abuzz.

Yeah I tend to agree . If the heat was still there Harvick would haved walked away with the win . BUT it didn't . I am happy for Bass Pro Shops !

It was a great race, without the pothole problems there would probably be a different winner, but that's the way it goes, Harvick had a great car as did Bowyer, but I really thought Harvick was going to win it, the restarts just mixed up the cars everytime , was glad to see McMurray win, seems like a good guy and it was nice to see the 88 drive to the front at the end,he definitelty benefitted from the three restarts, but that's restrictor plate racing, you never know until the very end who's going to win, great start to the season,,,Go Jr!!!!!!!!

Man they did a shortened version pm SPEED tonight . It was awesome to see the cars moving around . It was a great start, now if we could just get warm here in Texas !

Agreed...although usually its not that hard. Most times you just have to finish a race in order to be ahead of JR.

Good race, even better post race interview with Jamie Mac...Boo Hoo...There is no crying in car racing Jamie!
