I have done this before but cant seem to find my recipe and for some reason not finding much on a search. I sure its me. Seems like I used Pop's brine with pickling spices but not sure how much of what? Anyone have a cure recipe for corned beef? I cut a brisket in half and smoking the point tonight but want to cure the flat.

A lower salt version would be:

1 gallon water
1/2c salt
1/2c white sugar
1/2c brown sugar
1 heaping Tbs cure #1
2 Tbs pickling spice.

That sounds like it. Thanks.
I just posted my recipe for it if you are interested.

I cooked the corned beef yesterday. Been in the freezer. This one was kinda of bland? I think I should of steeped the pickling spices.
