Curing buckboard bacon

First time doing a cure....first time for buckboard bacon.
I mixed my rub/cure, covered the meat, bagged and threw in the fridge.
Now I patiently wait..... except I just realized (my wife reminded me) that I won't be here when the 14 days is up.
I will be home after it cures 16 days.
Is this a big deal or nothing to worry about?

2.25% kosher salt, .25% curing salt. Onion and garlic powder with black pepper. Dry cure

Cure#1 is fine up to 30 days or so. You're fine as the others said.

And actually 16 days (or more) might be better for buck board bacon anyways.... Assuming buck board bacon is made with boston butt as it is thicker and needs longer time under a dry cure...

Curing penetration rule of thumb is 1/4" per side, per day. Plus two more days, just to make sure.
