Just bought 5lb. bag of sure cure.  Whats the best way to store it?  Does it have a shelf life?    Thanks

It's my understanding as long as it stays sealed up so moisture doesn't get to it it pretty much has an indefinite shelf life. I usually store some in a resealable bag and vacuum seal the rest until that resealable bag is gone

I put mine in glass or plastic with a screw on lid, use some clear wrap for a seal or buy a glass jar with a spring latch and rubber seal. 5 lbs is allot like 2,400lbs worth

So I guess I shouldn't tell you how much cure I have around here I'd hate to have you tell me how many lbs I can cure with it

Well, I had a 4oz pack.  put 2 oz. in 2 gals. for bacon brine.  I figured it would just be easier to get a bigger supply and not have to wonder if you have enough the next time I needed it.   Cure is cheap, shipping is expensive.

Thanks for the advice guys.
