Looks awesome! I tried to get that cut here, but even my best butcher says he can't get them that way. Saw some once at Costco in a 3-pack with a bit shorter rib bone, but they were prime, and cost almost as much as my first car.

I found this at Sam's for about $8/# it was about 2.6 # so right at $20 for that piece of meat. it was certified Angus choice grade. they had a mobile display case because they were running all kinds of rib-eyes on sale that day and had the meat manager wrapping special for people. so i got the "cowboy" rib-eye. we ate it like roast for the whole family ( me/wife/mom in law). i never shop Costco not because i don't like it but its across the city and Sams club is next door to us.
The bone i think add some flavor and we have it in the freezer so my Mom's Pyrenees Dog will eat good this weekend when we go for a visit!
