Well I couldn't sleep last night and was thinking. I may have a cheap and easy build for guys wanting a "reverse flow" smoker and don't have a welder or a lot of time.

I was thinking about using a double barrel wood stove kit, to accomplish this. The lower tank would be for the fire and the upper would make a great smoking chamber. The stove kit is around under $100 and the two 50 gallon barrels can be found on the cheap as well. I think I may have to experiment with it at some point. Any thoughts?

I have one in my garage for heat right now, and it flows great and holds a steady flame with a little flame management I think it would work out great.

Here is a link to the stove kit approx $45

Stove kit top barrel addition approx $30

I like that idea. it might be worth having some1/4 in. steel rolled in the size of a drum and welded up. Im in a cold weather area  and im not sure about the heat loss on 30deg. days. The price for the kit is worth the door alone.

I am in a cold area as well, and have bigger cookers but thought it would be a quick fun build. They get plenty hot and responded to temps adjustments well for the heating side sure it would work well for cooking.  But the 1/4 rolled steel would be sweet that is for sure.
