Just left our local Costco with brisket in hand for $2.69/lb.  What's the big deal, you ask?  $2.69/lb. isn't any great shake for brisket.

Oh, did I mention it's Prime, and not Choice??  Yessirree, it's Prime for that price.

Now just gotta figger out where to stash 'em....

Brisket here in NY is  6.99 lb and that's choice sometimes, I have seen it as much as 8.99 lb.

Make sure you post pictures of that cook, remember no pics didn't happen!

Yessir, I will.  Although I won't be torching those bad boys for a while, as I have to get through the turkey, the turkey tacos, the turkey in cream sauce pasta, the turkey in red sauce over pasta, the turkey and rice, the turkey enchiladas, and the turkey omelettes.  Then, I will head for Texas for the holidays and be cruising around the Central TX barbecue belt, getting the best of the best.

Then, after I'm released from the hospital for my overindulgence, have finished my stint at Betty Ford's, wrapped up with Overeaters' Anonymous, I'll get those puppies out for their 15+ hour smoke bath.  Assuredly pictures will accompany.

Yep, I just bought two Costco prime briskets yesterday, 13.8lbs and 15.6lbs. both of them bigger than I wanted. I like to buy briskets in the 12.5-13 lb range. But they were $2.69/lb.

Going to smoke both this week. One Thursday and one Friday.

You have summed up the next 2 weeks perfectly! Also nice score on the briskets. Just about justifies the cost of membership doesn't it??
