Watching Good Eats tonite he has a show about corn One of the things he talked about was when eating corn or cutting the corn off the cob save the cob in a plastic bag and put them in the freezer and then use them when you smoke just put them on the hot coals.Has anyone tried this

Umm no-the only corncob I ever smoked was a pipe- but that was nearly 30 years ago!!

Hi Red -

I tried it about a year ago. Someone on another forum posted it. I can't say that I tasted anything except maybe a kind of "sweetness" but I only had 6 and mixed it with wood.

We did a thread on this to about a year ago I couldn't find it but maybe it was on the old forum? Maybe even on the Yahoo version of this forum. CRS!
 
Ditto! I used to love smoking those pipes... but I'm glad I gave it all up. Smokin' food is where it's at!
