Cooking for 20-25 people in my cigar club, 15 guys/10 gals. I was thinking four 6lb butts, 4 racks of spares, a tray of beans, cole slaw, and potato salad.

Too much? Too little? Just right? Thanks

I would drop one of the butts and add another 2-3 racks of ribs, other than that sounds like a you got a great party planned!

Good luck and don't forget the Q-View!

Well here is my take on it. From the info I have gotten from a gal here that caters you will need 3 - 6 pound butts, 8 racks of ribs, 5# beans, 5# slaw, 5# potato salad.  What she has told me is with 2 meats you need to figure on 3/4 pound per person uncooked weight, and 3/8 slab ribs per person.  For sides you figure 1/2 pound per person and if there is more then 1 side you just split that amount up and round up to the next higher pound. Since you have 25 people you need 12.5# of 1 side, 12.5 / 3 = 4.167 so you round it too 5, that is only 3.2oz of each side per person. She has said by using these figures you will not run out of food, nor have an over abundance of it. Most likely you could get by with just 4# of each side, but why take the chance.
