ok im new so please forgive me. i bought a traeger, thinking its the smoke master. but it seems to me that it dosent make any smoke. i have a old hibatchi i can make more smoke with. am i doing something wrong? it seems like a glorifed barbque...am i missing something? like i said im a fng and im am confused.......

I would like to see a qview of that smoker you have. I believe you must buy pellets which is the main fuel source for that type of smoker. The pellets make the smoke & come in different types of flavors so you can pick & choose your smoke flavoring.

its the jr, i bought the traeger wood pellets, but even on smoke it doesent smoke like i think it would.

really? huh...like i said im ne but i did some salmon and it wasent as good as my poor mans bbq with chips....

thin blue is the way to wooooo........

Like meateater posted, less is good. But if you have none, then I would wait for a Traeger owner to show up & post to your thread, as I don't own one. I thought the pellets acted like wood with the smoke. But you DO NOT want white, billowing smoke coming out of your stack. If you smell the smoke, it is smoking. TBS is just a visual.
