I just modded my Chargriller Outlaw and had first went to my local Ace hardware and bought all the parts. Then I started talking to people about my project and found out that my brother in law had all the scrap I needed. I never even thought to ask him (he's in commercial construction). So, I say, open your mouth and see what bubbles up. Worse case, hardware stores will have all you need.
