If you're out and about under clear skies 90 minutes after sunset, there's a naked eye comet visible, though it's pretty dim. With binoculars, it jumps right into your optic nerve. It won't be back for 6,000 years, so see it now if interested. Here's how to find it below the Big Dipper.

I'll have to break out the telescope the next few nights.Unfortunately the humidity will be off the charts the next few days also.

A telescope will be a bit much because the comet is so large. Binoculars, with their wider field of view, give a better image. We used 10x50s with a 5 degree FOV and the comet was larger than 5 degrees. I have several telescopes, one that needs an 8-foot ladder to get to the eyepiece. They remained in bed and let the little binos do the work.

We saw it for several nights until it started to noticeably dim and just become a fuzz ball. We missed it on it's way toward the sun due to clouds and time of day. It was grand on its return voyage, though. My progeny in 230 generations (spitballIng here) will see its return. Heck, they'll probably catch it for water and clean dirt!
