Cleaning the inside of MES 30?

Holy cow!!  I don't use my MES much anymore and it just sits in the garage.  I wanted to move it out to the deck and start using it again (it's a fun little smoker) and I opened the doot....HORROR!  Whitish funk everywhere, kinda powdery...NASTY.  Any ideas how to clean the ENTIRE interior?  I would post pics but I am ASHAMED...I have let the order of the MES down

Sounds like white mold to me. I would try vinegar, or a 50/50 mix of bleach & water in a spray bottle.

First scrape it, then spray it & let it set. Then scrape it again. Repeat as necessary.

I wouldn't spray it too hard or rinse it, because of the electric wires & such.

Cleaning?  Oven cleaner, SOS pads and a garden hose.  I've done it several times, and I've had the covers off the back and bottom before, so I know that the wiring and such is quite well protected as long as you don't spray water down the outside back cover of the unit.

Great...I was not sure how well covered the electronics were. Thans for the info!
