Anyone have any suggestions as to what cleaning products would be acceptable for use on Smoke  Daddy ????  Residue is on nasty side. Ernie

I used to soak mine in hot water, and scrape it & soak it & scrape it, etc, etc to try to get rid of all the tar & creosote. Then I got a AMNPS, and no more cleaning & perfect smoke for up to 11 straight hours without touching it.

There are a couple guys on here that say they can use the SD without any creosote or cleaning problems. Maybe they can help you.

oven cleaner. Spray and soak. Rinse after an hour and repeat if necessary.

Works fro cleaning the inside of the smoke house as well.

Can also order smokehouse cleaners online.


might be able to find smaller bottles through butcher supply sites.

I cleaned mine for the first 3 uses now i light it with lump charcoal until it gets screaming hot.  After that i run chips/chunks and lump and it doesn't need cleaning....ever.  The most i do is run a gun brush through the exhaust pipe now and then. 

The key is keep a hot fire..

Oh one more thing... I find it helpful shutting it down fast.   What i did was order a bottom cap with out holes and put that on when i'm done and that is my starting fuel for the next smoke.

I have the smoke daddy  magnum never have i been more sorry to have brought something that is completely useless first off i got creosote cured this with lump charcoal and wood chips thought i had cured the trouble no more creosote on food but the food had a bitter burn taste

tried every wood.pellet,dust mixer you can thing off no good i write this so other people do not wast their money and by the way as for dennis being a help full chap emailed him once he replied seconded time nothing
