I usually give my RF smoker a real good cleaning at least once a year (Depending on how much I smoke) But yesterday I decided to give it a proper cleaning. Last time was back in June. So I was anxious to see how bad it was.
Removed my grates and gave them a good scraping and brushing, then sprayed them off with the water hose.
Next, I scraped the top side of my RF plates. (I have 2 and both are removable) Then I removed both RF Plates and scraped the underside and set them up to wash. Next I scraped the bottom of the cook chamber. When all said and done all I had total was about a good hand full of crud, That was all !! Pretty happy . With all I have smoked it is pretty efficient on burning up the drippings that hit the RF plate.
I then got the hose and sprayed out the entire smoker. Finished cleaning the RF plates and racks and put it all back together.
Then I got about 3 splits of hickory, my weed burner and fired that rascal up. Took my weed burner and went over the grates, RF plates and the inside of the CC. After my fire was burning for a while I threw one more split on and just let it go till it burned its self out .
Just have to clean out the fire box today spray a little cooking oil on the inside if the FB and I'm ready for next time.
Sorry about no pictures, didn't think about posting this till just while ago.
