Hey all, my better half was in a thrift store the other day and noticed some older CI pieces off to the side. When she asked about them, they told her that they were being taken to Deseret Industries. She was told if she was interested that she could just have them… so she brought them home! They are in a bit of rough shape, but can be refurbished and wooden handles replaced.

I know a bit about CI, mainly used to using Lodge.

So my question is, does anyone know anything about these? They do look older, so just curious. Also, on the bottoms there are some kind of markings… one can be read easier than the other! Any info is much appreciated!

Hard to tell by the pictures . Get them cleaned up some so the markings and the cast quality is easier to see .
Some of the BSR pans had wood handles , but so did some cheaper pans made in Taiwan .

A friend once told me to soak old rusted CI pans in Coke Cola over night. I guess it loosens the rust. Then should be easier to clean. I've never tried it, but you have nothing to lose.
