This is the time of year you can usually find beef ribs at the market. I was hoping to find some dino bones , but no luck....so I got these back ribs.
Seasoned one rack with Montreal steak and gave the other two a soak in some yoshidas teriyaki , hit them with my basic rub and then dusted them with Chinese 5 spice. Doing a basic 3-2-1 on these.....hope they turn out good!
Merry Christmas eve , brothers

Pulled these off the smoker cuz I thought they were getting a bit too charred looking.
The Montreal steak ribs are nice and moist , cooked just right , maaaaaaybe just a leetle too much salt.
The Chinese 5 spice were on the bottom rack (note to self:maybe rotate food next time)
These are a little charred perhaps the sugar in the marinade , maybe just too close to the fire.
However they are sweet teriyaki and the anis really comes thru from the 5 spice. I would do these again just gotta watch the time....6 hours woulda been way too long for these.
