First post so I hope it goes well.  Got my new smoker yesterday and seasoned it by the book.  Today it is Jeffs cherry Dr Pepper brined CSR's.  Smoking with cherry and oak.  More pics when they are done.

Looks like mine, but mine is ss.

Yeah that's a gen 1. Rear mounted controller, top mount vent. Its a good model.

Except for the wire rotting off in the back but its a easy fix.

I meant compared to the gen2 models. But I know what you mean about the wiring issues.
