I started smoking last year on a cheap side box smoker like most everyone does. I made some really good briskets, some really bad ribs, and some OK chicken.
This year I decided instead of spending all day and night by the smoker trying to regulate my temps, I would buy an electric smoker (I know its a sin to some folks but it works :) ) I wanted to work on taste and presentation instead of trying to work on building the perfect fire.
I bought a MES40 with the SS and glass door no remote and I LOVE it so far. I've made 1 brisket, 1 rack of baby backs, 3 racks of spare ribs and today I'm working on beef ribs and a fatty.
I have not ordered the AMNPS yet but I have done a few of the mods to better my smoke delivery and so far its working perfectly
I have learned a ton from this forum and VERY happy I stumbled upon it!
