So after chopsaw chopsaw posted the thread on the white castle sliders thats all ive been thinking about. So dinner last night was sliders. And as much as i love white castle i had something else in mind. My wife and i really like red Robin and my favorite burger they have by far is the banzai burger. Its a teriyaki glazed patty topped with cheader cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo and a ring of grilled pineapple. So i decided to make one in slider form. Heres the burger build.....
First i sliced some roma tomato and salt and peppered them...i always salt and pepper my tomatoes

Then some sharp cheddar and sharp white cheddar cheeses

Here are the rest of the toppings

Then i assembled the burgers 3 for me 2 for the wife. She opted for lettuce tomatoes mayo and pickle. Mine are the banzai burgers with the addition of a few jalapenos.

Now for the burgers. I did mine in the big cast iron.....i dont have a flat top yet......key word..yet!

Then topped with the cheese and covered to melt

Then placed on the bun and ready to eat!

We also had corn on the cob and some krinkle cut fries along with them but i didnt take any pictures of that stuff. I was too busy stuffing my face with slider goodness! These really hit the spot last night! Thanks chopsaw chopsaw for for putting this idea into my head. Couldn't have had a better dinner last night!

We must be on the same page , because you've influenced me the do the white sausage , and still thinking about the chicken , bacon ranch sausage from the stuffed chicken you did .

I just got back from Red Robin . Son took me to lunch for fixing his car .
I have a cook book that has restaurants recipes . The one from Red Robin is the Banzai burger . It comes out good , great flavor profile .

Those sliders look fantastic . Nice work on that .

Thanks! Thats so funny that you literally just came back from red robin! Haha!

Yeah , lol . I'm making my way down the tavern double menu .
I'm gonna copy that recipe and send it to you . Couple of specifics you might be interested in .

Hell yeah those look good. Tell your wife that a flat top is a necessity. I got one two weeks ago and cooked on it probably 8 times so far. My wife has loved everything that has come off of it!

Whats funny about this is she is the one that wants one. We just have to figure out where to put one! Lol! Running out of room on the patio!

I must do this as well. We love pineapple. I see you are using the best mayo on the planet. DUKES!!
We have just started seeing dukes around here in the last year or so. Before that it was helmans and that was your only option. Dukes is hands down the better product!

I feel like I'm missing out on all these good burger places that we just don't have up here....although we do have "Five Guys" which I always replicate at home too!

This weekend is a long weekend, so I may just steal this recipe and give it a try!
