Wife and kid were out of town for the night. I was feeling too lazy to do the vortex on the Weber for just 10 chicken wings. So I decided to pull out the Recteq.

I season my wings with a 2:1 ratio of rub and baking powder. I choose Famous Daves Chicken Rub for this session. 2 tbls rub and 1 tbls baking powder to coat the chicken while the smoker prehrats.

Wings on smoker @ 250° for 30 min then crank it up to 425° to finish. Took them to 198-200° IT in less than 60 min total cook time. Dip or toss in sauce of choosing.

Bachelor night dinner. Vortex wings on the Weber kettle are hard to beat and probably my favorite. Pellet grill is close 2nd. Next time I might try cooking the wings at 400° the whole time to see if they're any crispier.
