Bought Jeff's recipees last week. Just got around to smoking today. Here's the birds seasoned up and just put on the chargriller.

Took the chargriller up to 300 degrees with two chimneys of Kingsford Competition briquettes with the help of my 7 dollar fan from
Wally World.

One hour into smoke. Buster has got his eye on things.

One hour and forty five minutes in.......sauced six of them (want to taste a few with just Jeff's rub).

Two hours fifteen minutes on the chargriller.

I love using both Jeff's rub and sauce.  Your post makes me want to concentrate on chicken more.

Looks awesome 5oclock, that's some mighty fine lookin chicken for sure ! :beercheer:

Thanks so much for the compliments. Past few times I cooked chicken it was good, but not great. This time the rub, sauce, and 300 degree smoker was the perfect combination for me. Thanks Again!!!

Looks excellent, nice color. That's a pure pleasure to see!

Good to see that your little buddy Buster is keeping the home front secure.

Good luck!

Hey 5 O'...great looking chicken & I'm liking that fan mod to help things along....pretty simple & ingenious. Got Jeffs R&S buried around here somewhere...might have to dig it out for a future cook.....nice job....Willie

Thanks for the nice words Frosty and Driedstick. Willie, thanks for the compliments and yeah it was pretty funny the way I stumbled onto the fan. I went to Wally World for a bag of charcoal, and there was the fan with a beam of light on it (ok no beam of light.). But with the charcoal in hand the idea just popped in my head saying "hmm, maybe this can help raise temps quicker." And it does, and helps even out heat too. Anyway thanks again to all for the nice words.
