Fired up my wood fired stone oven for the first time this year. Made a roast chicken and root vegetables.

Thanks everyone for the comments. The chicken turned out quite well. It was a big bird that I got from a local farmer.

I built this oven over two years. I never have done brick or concrete work before. I did all the work except for three large pours that I needed some muscle for.

Great looking chicken, awesome oven. Bet it does amazing breads and pizzas. I got a big time case of oven envy, thanks for sharing.

Nice looking oven, and by the looks of those birds it appears you have it mastered.

Point for sure
Chris

Here are some pics of pizza and bread I did in that oven. Pizza cooks in about 90 seconds. Oven roof gets to around 1000 degrees.

Nice chicken and roasted vegetables! And nice oven too!!!

I just want to eat that dish with my bare hands next to that oven, no utensils needed

Man you have that thing in your back yard and this is the first time you have fired it up this year? I would be cooking pizzas in that thing on a weekly basis! Nice job on the chicken looks great!
